Our Committees

With redesigned General Assemblies and one-of-a-kind committees, EGIMUN works to enable delegates to engage in more realistic and impactful debate through the Sustainable Development Goals.

GA 1 - The Individual

The General Assembly First Committee (GA 1) will be debating issues that affect the individual on a day-to-day basis. Topics will be centered around SDGs 1-5.

GA 2 - The Community

The General Assembly Second Committee (GA 2) will be debating issues that affect the community as a whole. Topics will be centered around SDGs 6-11.

GA 3 - The World

The General Assembly Third Committee (GA 3) will be tackling issues that affect the world on a larger scale. Topics will be centered around SDGs 12-17.

Junior Assembly

The Junior Assembly is designed for middle school students. Seeing as there are little to no opportunities for middle schoolers to participate in MUN in Egypt, this committee will enable younger participants to fast-track their MUN careers.

International Technology Organization

The ITO is a unique EGIMUN committee where Corporate Officers from leading tech companies address global issues, focusing on ethical innovation and sustainability.

Security Council

The Security Council at EGIMUN simulates the UN Security Council, where double delegations debate global security issues and work to pass resolutions on peace and conflict.

International Court of Justice

The ICJ at EGIMUN simulates the UN’s principal judicial body, where advocates and judges present legal arguments and deliver rulings on international legal disputes.

Special Conference on Domestic Affairs

The very first of its kind, the SCDA is responsible for finding solutions to a relevant sustainability issue, which will then be implemented on the local level. Delegates will be representing themselves, providing their personal perspectives on the issue at hand.
